Prepare Tips & Information To Help You Prepare Boudoir Sessions

Before The Shoot ~ Get Good Rest! It’s essential to looking your best. It’s hard to feel beautiful when you feel tired. ~ Eat Well! Crash dieting can give you and unhealthy appearance as well as make you feel weak and tired. You’ll need your strength to hold some of these poses. ~ Avoid tanning booths and self tanner. These can leave streaks, lines and give you and orang-y tint. Your natural glow will shine through all on it’s own if you leave the tanning alone. If you must, please allow a week between tanning and your session. ~ Wear loose fitting clothing and under garments the morning of and to your session. Cinching of tight clothing can leave marks on your skin that can take hours to fade. ~ Personal Grooming is essential. Trim & clean nails as well as shaving or waxing are important. Please leave at least 3 days to a week in between your scheduled session and any waxing. ~ If we have arranged for a make-up artist please arrive with a clean face so our make-up artist has a 4 clean canvas to work with. You will also save time & have more time in front of the camera.

What To Wear The Most Common Concern The Ensemble First Things First ... Be excited! I love picking out clothes. The length of your photo session will dictate the amount of clothing changes available. Keep in mind, clothing changes take time and your time in front of the camera is precious to both you and to me. Everything listed below is a guideline. If you just can’t decide, I’d be happy to come help you rifle through your closet or even better go shopping with you! Be Yourself You absolutely have to wear a corset and thigh high stockings ... Definitely Not. While a lot of people opt to wear more intricate lingerie and they look gorgeous, at the end of the day you still have to be you. You can look just as amazing in a nice bra and panty set or even an over-sized shirt. Celebrating the real you is what boudoir is all about. Here are some suggestions that have worked well for others: Pick at least one outfit that is a little out of character. It’s fun to try new things and you’d be surprised how it will be make you feel. Don’t be afraid to go for the non-traditional. Wrap yourself in a favorite blanket or bring a sexy robe. Just because it isn’t technically an outfit, doesn’t mean it won’t be perfect.

What To Bring Making It As Enjoyable As Possible The Details Bring A Friend You will be surprised how much more at ease you will be if you have a friend along to help you relax & even laugh a little. Smiling images are always a favorite! Bring Music An iPod/iPhone with your favorite tunes to help you get in the mood will help speed things a long and give you a sense of comfort. Bring Accessories Don’t forget high heels, jewelry & scarves! Accessories can MAKE a shot and bring a lot of personality to an already beautiful subject!

Enjoy!!! Be Ready To Have Fun It is completely normal to be nervous. I’ve yet to come across a single person who has been entirely self-composed (myself included)! Just remember to try to have fun. Confidence is sexy.
