1. Springtime brought about beautiful weather to spend outside. Mr.

Jeffrey Lozano (SMMS '11, KMHS '15) brought his second grade class out to the Mary, Mother of the

World's Children Grotto for a

Communion preparation class. 2. Live musical performance was enthusiastically welcomed back this spring with our Spring Concert and

Art Exhibit! Pictured are students in the third grade violin class. 3. Third graders learned about traffic, bike, and pedestrian safety during a visit to the recently renovated

Nassau County Safety Town at

Eisenhower Park in April. 4. On June 15th, St. Martin’s celebrated the academic achievements of the

Track team, which was recently recognized by the CYO Track

League with their Team Spirit Award at the final meet of the season. The

Boys and Girls Track team closed out their spectacular season with first, second, and third place medals in their various events! 6. The St. Martin's Lacrosse team made its comeback after two years of no competition! The team was happy to show off their brand new uniforms at their first game of the season on April 29th. 7. St. Martin’s celebrated the return of the Junior High Musical after a two-year hiatus due to Covid-19.

This year, the cast of Moana, Jr. performed much to the delight of our families and students! Starring as Moana was sixth grader Jaidyn

Moodie. 8. On May 21st, the Junior High

Mock Trial team was happy to be welcomed back to the St. John's

University Mock Trial Tournament. Both the prosecution and the defense teams delivered impressive performances. 9. Seventh graders participated in the annual bridge-building competition in June. Kaitlyn Jenkins and

Mia Alvarado Palacios proudly display their engineering skills! 10. Come Holy Spirit, Come! This spring, eighth grade students received the sacrament of

Confirmation. Many St. Martin’s graduates served as sponsors to their younger siblings and cousins. 11. May was an exciting month as the second gr aders received their First Holy Communion!
