Williamson HS Assistant Principal Named Hero of the Month
Williamson High Assistant Principal Joseph Roberson was honored in September by the Mobile County District Attorney's Office as the Hero of the Month for the work he does with students, parents and the community. "We thank you for everything you're doing in our community," Mobile County District Attorney Ashley Rich said. "It takes a very special person to not only do their job, but do their job well and go above and beyond the call of duty in doing extra special work for our young people." Roberson (pictured at center with Rich and Williamson Principal Kirven Lang) helped create a virtual Parents' Academy to help parents at the school join their students in transitioning to remote learning for the start of the 2020-21 school year. He also volunteered at a school cafeteria during the spring to help produce meals for MCPSS' feeding program. "I'm extremely humbled and honored," Roberson said. "I'm a hard person to surprise, so to be surprised and to be thought of in this capacity is truly a blessing."
