What is a vegetable? A vegetable is the part of a plant that we eat. We can classify them according to the part of the plant that we eat: the root, the leaves, or the fruit. The root is the part that grows under the ground. The leaves and the fruits grow out of the ground. We eat vegetables in salads and also in squeezed juices. We also use them to accompany other foods.
