LITERATURE
Korean Book Club
Sept > Dec 2022 / Korean Cultural Center / Free As an important part of society, books often explore social and political themes. To read a country’s literature is therefore one of the best ways to gain insight into its culture, struggles and realities. Korean authors are known for their unique creations that reflect the challenges of their country by bending and breaking the accepted styles of their time. Let us guide your way into Korean literature with our monthly book club in which we discuss a Korean novel at our library. Some of the previous books that we have read are ‘Love in the Big City’ by Sangyoung PARK, ‘Miracle on Cherry Hill’ by Sunmi HWANG and ‘The Disaster Tourist’ by Koeun YUN. The book clubs are held alternatively in French, Dutch and English.
