Vilkija Ferry It is the only river ferry remaining in Lithuania, which started to carry people across the Nemunas in the beginning of the twentieth century. Later on it also started taking cars. To this day, the ferry ride of a few minutes allows avoiding a detour of some 50 kilometres.
