A practice-based study of how we experience the world through listening (auditory habitat [living space]). pause and listen is a practice which aims specifically at producing a connection between the individual and their space. Through this the auditory atmospheric quality of places and locations in public space will be tested and the audible examined. basel 2013 the workshop took part during the exhibition urban sounds in basel. A path was choosen through the city and the participants were invited at several spots to pause and listen and fill the little papers afterwards. It was open for public.
Brooklyn, NY 2015 the workshop took part during with architecture students at pratt college together with Sam Auinger and Bruce Odland. A park nearby the college was choosen and the students were invited their preferred spot in the park and pause and listen there for 15 minutes.

Karlsruhe, 2013 Students from the Hochschule für Gestaltung, Karlsruhe took part on a 5 days workshop, where we investigated several sites on different daytimes and weekdays.

Linz, 2014 On this 2 days workshop with classes (age of 12-14) from the Akademic Gymnasium we explored sites around the school at different times.
Linz, 2014 In this joint project, schoolchildren (age of 8-9) examined their own auditive path from front door to classroom. Various acoustic experiments supplemented the explorations. For two weeks, the first hour of every school day was dedicated to this topic.
