Spielsalon Festival der Autorenspiele Der »Spielsalon« ist ein Festival für Autorenspiele im Fridericianum Kassel, das vom 27. November bis zum 1. Dezember 2013 zum zweiten Mal stattfindet. Auf zwei Ebenen wird hier der spannende Aufbruch der Computer-Games in die Sphären der Hochkultur reflektiert: Zum einen werden neue Games in spielbarer Form ausgestellt, zum anderen gibt es eine Vortragsreihe, in der internationale Experten zu philosophischen, soziologischen, künstlerischen, tech nischen und wirtschaftlichen Aspekten des Themas referieren. Es geht ums Spielen und Darüber-Reden. In einem Vortrag erläutert Thomas Meyer-Hermann, künstlerischer Leiter des »Spielsalons«, sein Konzept.

Vortrag | Lecture Thomas Meyer-Hermann ist Professor für Animationsfilm an der Kunsthochschule Kassel. Er realisierte mehrere preisgekrönte Trickfilme und ist Geschäftsführer, Produzent und Regisseur im Stuttgarter Studio Film Bilder.

Spielsalon Festival of Author Games The “Gaming Room” is a festival for author games, being held for the second time in the Fridericianum Kassel, from 27th November to 1st December, 2013. On two levels, we will be examining the exciting burgeoning of computer games in the cultural sphere: On the one hand, new games will be presented in playable form. On the other, a series of talks and lectures, where international experts will report the philosophical, sociological, artistic, technical and commercial aspects of the theme. It’s all about playing the game and talking about it! In a lecture, Thomas Meyer-Hermann, Artistic Director of the “Gaming Room” will talk about his concept.
