What’s something people don’t know about your department/job?

A big piece of our business is investment real estate, people who own rental properties.

How does the position benefit members? Employees? What’s its purpose?

We benefit our members by giving them an alternative to large banks for their business lending needs. Offering Commercial Lending benefits everyone at SCCU because it greatly enhances our opportunities for loan and deposit growth compared to a credit union or bank that does not offer commercial lending. Our business members also use our consumer products as well ultimately leading to more jobs and opportunities throughout the Credit Union for the employees. The purpose of commercial lending is to help our members grow their business. We only borrow them money if the loan should help them make more money and that is a good thing!
