News From The Njda
The NJDA recently held a very successful annual meeting in Louisville after the completion of the National Junior Dorset Shows on Saturday, November 12th. Many Dorset juniors attended the meeting with their families. The meeting highlighted the presentations of the 2022 futurity winners, of the 2022 Tracy Repasky Scholarship winner and the first year Dorset exhibitor mementos. Election of the 2023 NJDA Directors took place and in January the new board will meet to elect officers for the upcoming year. Also, during this upcoming directors zoom meeting, the NDJA will make decisions about upcoming activities at Dorset events for the year. On their agenda will be the expansion of the ewes for youth grant program, continuation of the gas credit program for the AAJS, support of the CDC’s 125th anniversary, a new Thursday night social activity for Dorset exhibitors and their families at the All American and the board members presence at the upcoming regional junior Dorset shows this summer. It is shaping up to be another busy year for the Dorset juniors!
