The Wickford Wildlife Society will be visiting the RSPB West Canvey Marshes nature reserve on Sunday 17th September 2023.

The main aim will be to look for autumn migrating birds but most of our summer birds will still be around too, and butterflies plus dragonflies will still be on the wing, so there should be plenty of wildlife to see. We will be meeting in Wickford Central Car Park at 9.00am and there should be plenty of car space if you need a lift. If you are planning to travel direct to the reserve, please email us so we can look out for you when we arrive.

Wickford Wildlife Society – Indoor Meeting – Wednesday 18th October 2023

The next indoor meeting of the Wickford Wildlife Society will take place on Wednesday 18th October 2023 at St Andrew’s Church Hall, 11 London Road, Wickford, Essex, SS12 0AN.

Our guest speaker will be Daniel Bridge, who will be presenting his Wood photography talk. Danel is a full-time photography tutor, and his love of woodland prompted the writing of this talk, based around the plants and animals found within them, but also the wood itself, either in its natural state, or used as a building material.

This is an evening meeting, arrive at 7.45pm for an 8.00pm start. There will be a small entrance charge - £3.00 for non-members and £2.00 for members. There will be a break around 9.00pm when tea and coffee will be available.
