She shared that her most memorable experience as a manager is how she handles the company’s workflow. It’s a new thing for her since she hasn’t really had experience being the one who handles every difficult situation that the institution has.
“We really started from scratch so it was really hard for me to manage things at first, but with the help of my subordinates and other team from UAE, we are now fully operational despite the small enrollees that we have. We are still working on how to expand our network and hope that this institution will soon be well known throughout the Philippines,” she said.
On top of her managerial difficulties in managing the institution, she shared that as an Admin Manager, she strongly believes that leadership is a life-long learning journey which she enjoys, and learning that every person has a different culture, behavior, attitude has helped her to improve the work culture and collaboration within the office setting.
“In my case, I had to build some sort of personal connection with my team in order to emotionally connect with them, and that helped to crucially balance my team’s overall productivity and mindset in respect to the organization’s goals and vision,” she added.
With all of her efforts, hard work, and determination to manage the Filipino Learning Center and to provide leadership to her team, her greatest advice to future leaders is to learn active listening.
