Who says that Journalists can only work on prints? They say that being a journalist is a dying profession, while some people say that people in this industry have the lowest pay range. But, with Ms. Kassandra Lebrillo’s experience, she’s a living proof that people in the media industry can do it all!

From being a journalism graduate student, Ms. Kassandra was given a wide opened opportunity to be the executive secretary of the Filipino Institute Group of Companies’ President & Founder Mr. Gabriel John Rimando in the year of March 2021. After a year of consistent dedication, and proving that his skills are the right fit for the role, Ms. Kassandra was promoted to be the Overall Office Manager.

Started from office organization, operation, filing, controlling correspondence, designing filing systems, reviewing and approving supply requisitions, and assigning and monitoring clerical functions, all of these are the usual office responsibilities that Ms. Kassandra has. And by doing such, she shared that it helped her improve his skills more, and for her to develop his leadership skills too. Other than that, she also shared that she used to get different roles and responsibilities each and that is what makes it more memorable for her.

“My most memorable experience as an Office Manager and a leader at the Filipino Institute is getting variable roles each day,” she said.

Lastly, her advice to future leaders like her is “to believe in your own goals and abilities in the face of discouragement from others and learn from mistakes rather than being discouraged by them,” she added.
