Clippy the crab encounters a storm and is separated from his family and friends and everything familiar to him. He makes new friends in this new place who make him feel at home but not everyone agrees he should be allowed to stay.
A story illustrating the power of diversity and the importance of belonging and allyship to challenge prejudice. The storm is a metaphor for any change of circumstances forcing one to step out of their comfort zone into the unknown. Blue crabs are rare crabs that exist only in parts of the Atlantic and are known for their superior swimming capabilities. Being blue amongst red represents any attributes that are unique amongst the majority. This can be a metaphor for colour, culture, gender, weight, height, ability or anything perceived to be different.
Will Clippy prevail?
