senior profiles! ii Nota Auctoris: A “Year” in Review If you had told me that March 12th would be the last time anyone would ever step foot in TJ for a good while, I would have never believed you. This storm of circumstances has been nothing short of unprecedented for our school, our nation, and our world. We never really got the chance to say a proper goodbye, so I hope this message offers you some closure as we look back at another “year” of TJ Latin. To our seniors, thank you for an amazing four years. Thank you for all the wonderful memories at Convention, iNite, holiday parties, and more. Thank you for giving it your all these past four years, and we can’t wait to hear about your collegiate adventures. Although you had to don your cap and gown at home this year, we all congratulate you on completing four long years of TJ. Quod bonum, faustum, felix fortunatumque sit! It has been an honor serving as your Auctor this year. From Saturnalia to Certamina, Convention to Myth

Pumpkins, I have truly enjoyed meeting and interviewing the wonderful members of the TJ Latin family. Even though this year was cut short, we still were able to reach many important milestones as a Latin community. We held our 15th annual TJHSST Certamen (much lauded). A legion of Latin IIIs were inducted into the exclusive and enigmatic Latin Honor Society. AP Latin students took the first ever online AP Latin exam. Just as the Trojans emerged from a terrible storm at sea, weary but motivated by hope for a golden future, we will make it out of this pandemic. Who knows, perhaps we will look back at these shipwrecked days and remember that our solidarity and resilience carried us through troubled waters. Karen Song, 2019-2020 LHS Auctor
