We thank you.

Louise Kirk who is a nurse at Nottingham University Hospitals.

Illustrated by Elizabeth Haynes

In August 2018 a group of nurses got together to find a way to positively promote our profession across the generations to attract primary school age children into nursing and break down stereotypes. Nursing is a diverse profession spanning the human lifecycle.

Nurses save lives, lead research, change outcomes using science and deliver compassionate, evidence-based care all day every day of the year. People tell us we are instrumental in their care whether it be in a hospital, community or other setting.

We hope that you will read this book to your children and grandchildren and spread the word about nursing and nurses everywhere. The opportunities are endless. Make a difference and choose a career in nursing.
