Kaos calendar of events Markets / Bazaars: ●

4th Annual Summerfest Bazaar: ​9am - 10pm at Thurston County Fairgrounds, 3054 Carpenter Rd SE, Lacey. Over 80 vendors! Fun for the whole family, pony rides, face painting, food trucks and lots of fun shopping. Roosevelt PTA Rummage and Bake Sale:​ 9am - 1pm at Roosevelt Elementary School, 1417 San Francisco Ave NE, Olympia. Check out furniture, clothes, kids toys, housewares, books, outdoor tools and decor, sporting goods, electronics, and more. All proceeds go towards providing support and funding for field trips, assemblies, classroom supplies and other educational materials to enhance our children’s education. Olympia Farmers Market:​ (​Thursday - Sunday​)​ ​10am - 3pm at ​The Olympia Farmers Market​, 700 Capitol Way S, Olympia. Promoting and encouraging the development of local small scale agriculture and ensure a dynamic market balance for small, local growers and others to make available their products to residents of this community. Olympia Flea Market: ​(​Saturdays and Sundays​) 10am - 5pm at 210 Thurston Ave NE, Olympia. Offering antiques & collectibles, arts & crafts and much more with new inventory each week!

Youth Firearm Safety Seminar:​ 8am - 12:30pm at Evergreen Sportsmen's Club, 12736 Marksman St SW, Olympia. Students will be working with pistols, revolvers, and rifles, the class focus will be on firearms safety and skill building on the range. Minimum age is 6 years old, all materials, ammo, and firearms provided. Yenney's Musical Petting Zoo:​ 12:30pm - 1:30pm at Capital Mall, 625 Black Lake Blvd SW, Olympia. Teachers from Yenney Music will have different musical instruments for kids to try out in Macy's Court. Junior Ranger Evening Lessons:​ (​Fridays - Saturdays​) 7 - 8pm at Seaquest State Park, 3030 Spirit Lake Hwy, Castle Rock. These family-friendly evening programs, held at Seaquest State Park amphitheater, are geared toward kids of all ages and last approximately one hour. They provide the perfect blend of learning and entertainment for families camping at Seaquest or at the end of a long day trip. Park staff will give lessons on the local and regional wildlife, geology and ecosystems.

Seattle Spotlight: ●

Double Exposure: Edward S. Curtis, Marianne Nicolson, Tracy Rector, Will Wilson:​ (​Wednesdays, Friday - Monday​) 10am - 5pm at the Seattle Art Museum, 1300 1st Ave, Seattle. Double Exposure features 150 images by a historic photographer, alongside immersive experiences from three contemporary artists. Across a spectrum of media rooted in lens-based processes, all four artists contribute to a complex and ever-expanding portrait of Native America. Seattle Chapter Black Panther Party: Power to the People:​ (​Friday - Sunday, Wednesdays​) 11am 5pm at the Northwest African American Museum, 2300 S Massachusetts St, Seattle. Seattle Chapter Black Panther Party celebrates 50 years with a brand new exhibition at NAAM! Festival Sundiata: Black Arts Fest:​ 11am - 8pm at the Seattle Center, 305 Harrison St, Seattle. Launched in 1981 to gather African Americans for a heritage celebration, the festival provides a venue for the community to participate in a shared culture – and to share the culture with all ethnicities who join in the packed weekend of activities and entertainment. 30th Annual Fremont Solstice Parade:​ 1 - 4pm at the Fremont Arts Council, 3940 Fremont Ave N, Seattle. You're invited to witness the spectacle of people-powered ensembles weaving through the streets of Fremont with music, dancers, stilt walkers, floats, and an abundance of breathtaking art. When the last float rolls into Gas Works, the celebration continues. This year’s Celebration at Gas Works Park is a Varieté featuring interactive art, astounding performance, and music to get you moving.
