A nice educational stroll, you’re invited to botanize with friends while being guided by plant experts from the Native Plant Salvage Foundation. All ages and levels of experience are welcome! Historical Romance Research 101: ​6 - 9 p.m. at Lacey Timberland Library, 500 College St. SE. You can Join Author Rose Lerner as she shares how to get the most out of local libraries, search engines, and much more. Learn how researching the details can nourish the historical fiction writer’s creativity. Rose is the author of eight published novels and novellas. She has taught writing craft and research workshops, as well as an online seminar on women in Regency politics.

The Quest for Sustainable Tourism in Mongolia ...through Conservation, Research, and Community Development: ​7pm at at Traditions Café, 300 Fifth Avenue SW in Olympia. For three decades, Badral Yondon and Gerel Dashdoorov have guided tourists, writers, conservation organizations, and researchers across all of Mongolia’s ecosystems. Pioneers in sustainable tourism, their trips foster meaningful intercultural connections with local and nomadic people as well as opportunities to participate in archaeological and ecological research and in the activities of local communities.
