ansas Citians have always supported local restaurateurs and these restaurateurs have supported Kansas Citians with great food.You will soon discover why these are some of Kansas City’s iconic restaurants. Dixon’s Famous Chili, located on Highway 40 in Independence gained exposure to the rest of the world when Life magazine featured a story about frequent customer President Harry Truman and his secret service men’s trip to the restaurant.
