Lauretta Zellman Settergren

James A. Wroolie

Lauretta Zellman Settergren of Mora died on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015 at Eastwood Senior Living in Mora. She was 97 years old. She was born Sept. 1, 1917 in Georgeville to Christ and Nettie (Siekmeier) Kobberdahl. At the age of 13 the f family moved to Mora. She met and and was unite in marriage to Ewald ed ( (Jim) Zellman in 1935. To t this union two sons were b born, Sheldon in 1939 and D David in 1948. She and her h husband operated a creame in Quamba for 10 years ery a and then moved to the farm i in Comfort Township in 1 1945. She worked at the Deluxe C Café and Gries’ Café in M Mora for about 20 years. She used some of her money to buy cows for the farm. She and her husband picked green beans in order to earn money to buy a TV and a furnace. She took her boys trapping and she sat in the car many hours waiting for them to work their trap lines. She loved decorating and remodeling her home. It was always beautiful and spic and span. In 1972 her husband passed away. She continued to farm for several years with her son, David. In 1973 she married Robert Settergren. They were married for more than 25 years before he passed away. She then moved off the farm and resided at Pine Crest Manor in Mora where she met special friend, Kenny Mann. As her health declined she spent her last three years at Eastwood Senior Living. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed reading her Bible and she lived by it. She trusted Jesus Christ for her salvation and we look forward to seeing her in heaven. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by parents, Christ and Nettie Kobberdahl; stepfathers, Emil Peterson and Elmer Weidendorf; husbands, Ewald “Jim” Zellman and Robert Settergren; granddaughter, Loriann Zellman; brother, Orville Kobberdahl; sister and brother-in-law, Maxine and LeRoy Peterson; brothers-in-law, Dale Peterson, Marvin Dresler and Jim Hannigan. She is survived by sons, Sheldon (Diane) and David (June) Zellman of Mora; grandchildren, Roxanne (Mike) Patterson, Sheldon A. Zellman, James (Jody) Zellman, Heidi (Geoff) Masters, William (Mary) Zellman, Angela Zellman and David E. Zellman; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Peterson of Quamba and Wanda Dresler of Mora; sister-in-law, Lorraine Kobberdahl; special friend, Kenny Mann; plus many nieces, nephews and other relatives. A funeral service was held on Friday, Feb. 27 at Living Hope Church in rural Mora. Dillon Patterson officiated. Music was provided by Ethan Hohn, Mikael Dahlberg, Katie Jacobs and Gunnar Zellman. Pallbearers were her great-grandchildren, Asa Patterson, Matt Zellman, Alex Zellman, Kyle Zellman, Stacy Smith and Michaela Patterson. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery in Mora. Arrangements were handled by the Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora. Condolences may be posted at www.aifuneralhome. com.

James Alton Wroolie of rural Braham died on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015 at his home. He was 54 years old. He was born March 1, 1960 in Minneapolis to parents, Alton and Hedy (Lehmann) Wroolie. They lived iin Minnetonka before moviing to a farm in Braham w where he lived the rest of his llife. He graduated from Brah ham High School in 1978. He w was united in marriage to M Marcia Drost on March 28, 11981.They were blessed with tthree children. He worked as a bulk truck d driver and store manager ffor many years until he was u unable to work. He was in tthe process of starting up his own business when he passed away. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and best friend. He loved God, living in the country, working with his hands and being surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by father, Alton Wroolie. He is survived by wife, Marcia Wroolie of Braham; children, Martin (Heather) Wroolie of Pine City, Felicia Vick of Sartell and Justin Wroolie of Clovis N.M.; six grandchildren; mother, Hedy Wroolie; sisters, Kathy (Gary) Nelson of Burnsville and Carol Wroolie of Montgomery; many nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed by all. A celebration of life was held on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the Akkerman-Ingebrand Chapel in Mora with Tim Stratton officiating. Raymond V. Lowe Raymond V. Lowe of Mora, formerly of Henriette, died on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at St. Clare’s Living Community in Mora. He was 95 years old. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Thomas/ Hasselfeldt engaged Billy Thomas and Ronda and Brad Lundberg are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Sarah Thomas to Colton Hasselfeldt, son of Debra and Lance Hasselfeldt. The bride-to-be graduated from Mora High School and is currently attending Bemidji State. The future groom graduated from Cambridge High School and is currently working in the Twin Cities. The couple currently resides in Isanti and they are planning a June wedding.

Gage Andrew Sanford was born on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015 at FirstLight Health System of Mora to Nathan Sanford and Alicia Lancaster of Mora. He weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. Grandparents are Randy and Sharon Sanford of Mora, Stacy (Frank) Lancaster of Janesville and Bob (Jen) Jobe of Judson.

Jada Rae-Lynn Saxon was born on Feb. 5, 2015 at FirstLight Health System of Mora to Lauren Odums and Chris Saxon of Brook Park. She weighed 8 pounds, 15 ounces and was 20 3/4 inches long. Grandparents are Cathy Davis of Minneapolis and Tina Saxon of Brook Park.

Peyton Elizabeth Blum was born on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015 at FirstLight Health System of Mora to Anthony and Nina Blum of Mora. She weighed 7 pounds, 5 1/2 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. She is welcomed home by sibling Kylie, 2. Grandparents are Anthony Blum, Sr. and Roxanne Blum of Mora and Tammie Keller of Day.

Kaylonna Marie Stauffer was born on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015 at FirstLight Health System of Mora to Emma Reiser and Jacob Stauffer of Pine City. She weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. Grandparents are Laura and Ron Ausmus of Pine City, AnnMarie Reiser of Pine City, and Timothy Stauffer of Pine City.

Cash V. and Jayzee L. Whitman

Cash Vincent and Jayzee Lane Whitman were born on Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 at FirstLight Health System to Shawn and Kelsey of Ogilvie. Cash weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces and was 20 inches long. Jayzee weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. They are welcomed home by siblings Kiera, 12, Jillian, 10, Capri, 3 and Jetta, 2.

Nolan Herman Bartsch was born on Monday, Jan. 26, 2015 at FirstLight Health System of Mora to Herman and Meganne Bartsch of Mora. Grandparents are Jeff and Mardy Ehrhardt of Mellen, Wis. and Brian and Maria Bartsch of Good Thunder.

Royce Joseph Kreger was born on Friday, Feb. 20, 2015 at FirstLight Health System of Mora to Sara Kreger of Mora. He weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and was 20 inches long. Grandparent is Tony Kreger.
