In Loving Memory Of Antonio Maio

June 10, 1920 - March 25, 2017

Celebration of Life

June 13, 1935 - April 7, 2007

Cecile was born in St. Jean Baptiste, Manitoba on June 10, 1920. She lived and worked on the family farm until she was 24 years old. Cecile then moved to Winnipeg to work and later on she met her husband Joe Markewich while they were both working in Letellier. Joe and Cecile were married on October 28, 1950 in St. Jean Baptiste, MB. They took up residence in Winnipeg where son Ron and daughter Barbara were born. Later on, Cecile worked at the Convention Centre as security. Joe and Cecile spent many years helping to build St. Theresa church in Middlechurch and St. Peters church in the north end of Winnipeg. She always volunteered to cook turkeys, bake pies and serve at the fall dinners. After her husband Joe passed on August 26, 1976 and staying alone in the house for thirteen years, she decided to move to St. Boniface where she continued to enjoy life with a bit of travelling, reading, watching her soap operas, telling jokes and the occasional trip to the casino. Cecile was such an inspiration; she always got back up and did her best to carry on. She was always smiling and appreciating life with family and friends.

It is not what we write, Nor what we say, It is what we continue to feel, As we think of you today.

Andrew Chisholm 1985 - 2017

Iride was born in Muris, Ragogna, Province of Udine, Italy to Umberto DeMonte and Anna Pascoli. She had three brothers and two sisters. One brother and one sister are still surviving and living in Italy.

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing at home of Andrew Raymond Chisholm on March 25, 2017 at the age of 31 years. Andrew is survived by his parents Peter and Cathy, sister Jen and brother-in-law Zack (Panylyk), grandmother Mary Gaetz, uncles Michael Gaetz and Rob Chisholm (Jody), aunts Elaine Holub (Bob), Janice Stoodley (Brian) and Becky Paul and cousin Tiffany; along with numerous other cousins. Andrew was born in Kamloops on November 24, 1985 and was proud of his home town. He attended Dallas Elementary and graduated from Valleyview High School. Over the years Andrew had attended SFU and BCIT. More recently, Andrew had returned to Kamloops and had enrolled at BCIT to complete his degree in July. He was so looking forward to continuing his passions of writing and film. Andrew was creative, witty, funny, intelligent, charismatic, charming, inspirational and loyal to family and his myriad number of friends. He did not judge others but rather chose always to find something good in everyone no matter their situation or station in life. Andrew left his mark on people wherever he went and easily and unwittingly became the focal point of any gathering. He was truly a free spirit and lived his life to the fullest.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lee & Susan’s second home and vital support system during the last nine months, The Jean C. Barber Lodge in Vancouver.

Please join Andrew’s family and friends for a Celebration of his Life, Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 2:30 pm at The Central Station Pub in Kamloops. Bring your favourite stories and memories and dress as he would want you to - colourful
