DISCOVER HOBSONVILLE POINT | AUTUMN 2014
Every Saturday & Sunday 9am - 1pm
New Waterfront Home for the Farmers Market The Hobsonville Point Farmers Market has moved to a new location down by the waterside. You can now find the market in the Seaplane Hangar, a 1930s era heritage building that was home to the Catalina flying boats during World War II. The new location near the ferry wharf is all part of the long term plan to turn The Landing into the heart of the Hobsonville Point community. Eventually the Farmers Market will be surrounded by shops, cafĂŠs, offices and apartments housed in a mix of heritage and new buildings. Market goers will be able to spill out of the hangar doors to lounge or picnic al fresco nearby, or stroll along a wide waterfront promenade with a baguette or gelato in hand. That's the vision, but there's plenty happening at The Landing already.
MEET THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE THE FOOD One of the best things about shopping at Hobsonville Point Farmers Market is that the stallholders selling to you are usually the people who produce the food. They're a passionate, knowledgeable and committed bunch of artisans and they love to chat to their customers.
