LEGO® KIDSWEAR

Our l EGO® children’s clothes are everyday clothes for active children, who love playing inside and outside –regardless of the weather. When we create l EGO clothes at d anish KABOOKI A/S, we focus on a fun design, high quality, function, and plenty of freedom to move.

We have more than 30 years of experience in designing durable children’s wear under license from the l EGO Group. For three decades, we have tested, observed, improved, and fine-tuned our designs to accommodate children’s behaviour. We make clothes that encourage children to be children. t hrough play and creativity, the child develops and learns, and that is really all we want for them.

At KABOOKI, we continue to look for ways of improving our designs and qualities. t his includes opting for better materials. t his season, the major parts of our sweats, tees, and jersey styles are in the collection is organic, and all packaging is free of single use plastic. you can read more about our acts of responsibility on the following page.

The 0-Mission

two years ago, KABOOKI partnered up with t he 0-Mission, subscribing to an unsubsidized solar park near Vejle, d enmark. Of course, we cannot decide how the power in our sockets was generated. But we are making sure that that we add as much solar power to the grid as we consume. In this way, we can help drive the low carbon energy transition.

At KABOOKI, our dream is to create some of those items that children fall in love with. t hat they want to sleep in, and that they put on as soon as they are – almost – dry after a much-needed washing. t his is our chance to make their childhood memorable, through quality clothes that last.

We are proud to be part of the mission, but also aware that solar parks take up land. It is important to us that the park was constructed with respect for the neighbours and local communities, and that it has been designed to enhance biodiversity. Organically grown grasses are found under and between the solar panels, and more areas in the park are left untouched to provide a home to vipers, bees, butterflies, and plants.

Bye-bye, plastic packaging

2025 is the last season of plastic in our packaging. t he most notable thing is that the clothes will be delivered in FSC certified glassine paper bags. Furthermore, all plastic hooks and hangers are replaced with cardboard solutions, and hangtags are fastened with jute strings.

BIONIC FINISH ECO

Finishing is a necessary treatment for outerwear pieces when you want them to shed water and dirt. For all our outerwear styles, we have chosen the PFAS/fluorine-free water repellent finishing BIO n IC-FI n ISH® ECO. t he bluesign® and Z d HC chemical gateway certified impregnation is very durable with low application amounts, so that it does not affect the fabric feel and appearance.

Organic cotton

t he major part of the sweats, tees, and jersey styles in the collection is made of organic cutton. Organic fibres are natural fibres grown without the use of synthetic pesticides or herbicides and genetic modified organisms according to a set of principles of organic agriculture. Organic agriculture is a production process that sustains the health of ecosystems, soils, and people, according to the Global Organic textile Standard.

High standards for chemicals

Chemicals are part of clothing production, but it is up to the individual clothing manufacturer to choose how to restrict the use of harmful chemicals. E u legislation requires that garments sold in the E u are produced according to REACH (registration, authorisation, and restriction of chemicals). We choose to have a critical eye on the use of chemicals in general, and we work towards reducing them in our products, so that we do not only produce according to REACH, but preferably below. We test that regularly, as do third parties. In this way, we know that our clothes are tested for harmful substances according to the criteria relevant for each element in the garment.
