Nexen Inc. Long Lake Nexen says it has achieved a 9 per cent production increase between Q1 and Q2, and during June successfully ran the upgrader at 65 per cent of capacity with an on-stream factor of 95 per cent. The company continues to drill and develop new well pairs and is accelerating the development of a portion of the Kinosis lease to access resource to fill the upgrader. Partner Opti Canada has declared bankruptcy and will be acquired by CNOOC for $2.1 billion.
