THE ART OF LOVELY MANNERS Photos provided by Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council
CTFAC Board President Kelijon Nance instructed the young ladies during this weeklong camp on modern etiquette. The camp was held at the Stephenville Historical Museum School House. Lessons included things such as how to set formal place settings, how to sit like a young lady, how to address someone when you meet them for the first time and how to introduce and address their elders. They learned how to write thank you notes and properly address them for the mail. The young ladies enjoyed painting their own flower vases and learning how to arrange flowers in that vase. More importantly, they were taught the Golden Rule of putting other people first and treating others the way you would like to be treated. At the end of the week, local dignitaries and parents were invited to attend a reception at the Stephenville Historical Museum School House. The young ladies were able to put into practice the manners they learned that week. It was a really sweet event.
