For instance, if you plan to remodel your bathroom. Large walk-in showers are prominent in the remodeling world right now. A walk-in shower creates an open floor plan feel with a seamless transition from this space to the rest of the bathroom. Walk-in showers often offer more versatile fixtures like seating, steam room, or even large freestanding soaking tubs. Walk-in showers provide the appeal of a relaxing minimalist bathroom, with the safety of safer access for the elderly and children. Here are 5 things to consider when remodeling your bathroom. 1)
Shower Sizes — Depending on the initial size of your bathroom, these may be size options to consider 32" x 32" • 34" x 34" • 36" x 36" • 42" x 36" • 48" x 36" • 48" x 48" • 60" x 36"

Position — Placement is a big one. If you are remodeling, it’s best to leave your new shower in the same place as your old one; it would require less plumbing and save you a little coin.

Type of Glass — Some key things to consider are: • The most common glass type is 3/8" or 10mm glass. It is durable, safe, long-lasting, and cost-effective. • Usually, an upgrade, you may occasionally see 12mm or 1/2" glass width. The thought is showers with this glass thickness will have a more opulent look. However, it isn’t any safer than the 3/8" or 10mm glass. Plus it will add substantial weight and cost.
4) Showerhead — From a handheld showerhead to a standard wall mounted head, there are many showerheads available today. Talk with your contractor to see if you can find one that meets your needs. 5)
Soap, Shampoo & Bodywash — Don't forget to include a small shelf or two in your walls for placing shampoos, conditioners, gels, etc. Size these shelves to accommodate the tallest bottles.
