Your outside space is just as important as your indoor space. If you have bad energy in your outdoor space, it can cancel out the good energy you have on the inside.
1. Use the elements of Feng shui — wood, fire, earth, metal, and water — in order to bring good energy and prosperity your way.
In this short read, we are going to take a different approach when thinking about refreshing your outdoor space. We are going to talk Feng-Shui! Feng Shui — /feNG 'SHooē/ It is a system of laws considered to govern spatial arrangement and orientation in relation to the flow of energy (qi), and its favorable or unfavorable effects are considered when designing any space. Make sure your outdoor space is clean and free of clutter. Recognize dead plants equal dead energy, so clear out the old leaves and dead branches are imperative. Here are five ways you can use the elements of feng shui to harmonize the flow of chi of your exterior space:
2. Balance your paint colors. The color of your house can align with feng shui principles as well. We suggest choosing a home color that blends with the elements around it.
3. Use a Bagua map for direction. Bagua maps are used like a compass. It gives direction when planning the layout for your space. This is a fun challenge in redesigning your space.

4. Make your front door count. You want to have a strong front door so that you can welcome positive energy. When qi can flow easily into your home, this energy brings abundance and ease. The front door refers to the home's official, formal front door. The area leading up to your home should be free from any clutter, dead plants, or old decorations.
