Trio Dance II is using the set 3-5[0, 1, 6] from Allen Forte's Pitch-Class Set as a main material. As a result of translating "3-5" into Chinese, it becomes the name of the piece where we can see-"3"舞. This material basically run through the whole piece melodically, harmonically or else. Besides, Trio Dance II could be described as "a dance for three persons", by using these three instruments, it would be very interesting to see how they are going to communicate with each other. In this piece, "3" is very meaningful where it could be presented not only the performance, but also the structure and the other musical elements.
