Mission Team 13 is one half of the Access to Healthcare section of NGSC! We are focused on trying to find new ways to bridge a more connective healthcare system, to the system that is currently in place. Our team is incredibly passionate about ensuring that all people have affordable access to healthcare and are informed about the current situation in our country.

In Fall of 2022, our mission team transitioned into new leadership and acquired a multitude of new members. We used this transition period to get to know one another and learn about each of our individual goals and how we could positively work together as a team and make them come true! We were able to come up with tons of new ideas for this upcoming year and cannot wait to meet the new members of our group and continue to invest time and energy on creating a more accessible healthcare system.
In the Spring of 2023, our team began coming together to create a more cohesive and concrete plan for how to begin creating real change in our community. We were able to create panels for our group by researching articles and sharing them with the group, planning in-person events for the Fall of 2023 and began to introduce members of the group into new leadership goals! We are truly thrilled about the progress that we were able to make this semester and cannot wait to see how our team continues to thrive.
Mission Team 13 had an exciting year within our tiny team. We were able to come together with new leadership and learn more about each other, our community here at ASU, and our country's current healthcare situation. We had bi-weekly zoom meetings with academic readings, news articles, and snippets from shows and movies. We cannot wait to welcome new members and continue finding ways to inspire the community around us!
