Welcome to Juneau!
The City of Juneau is the county seat of Dodge County. It is located on Highway 26 and is centrally located between Milwaukee and Madison. Juneau was settled in 1845 and was incorporated as a village in 1865. The current population of Juneau is 2,814. The city is home to Clearview, a nursing home and care facility. Clearview is an elderly facility and also houses a trauma brain injury unit, as well as a rehabilitation center. As the Dodge County seat, the County Courthouse, Jail and Human Services are all located here in Juneau. Juneau has a mayor and six aldermen. There are three wards in the city. We are proud of our schools: Dodgeland School District is a Pre-K4-12 district and Street John’s Lutheran is Pre-K through 8th grade. The Chamber sponsors a city-wide rummage sale the second Saturday in August of each year. A Farmer’s Market is held from May to October, depending on the weather. The market is held from 7am to 12 noon on Fridays and is located in the Piggly Wiggly parking lot on Western Avenue. From December 1 to December 31 a Parade of Trees is on display at the Juneau Public Library. Merchants sponsor and decorate the trees. The Juneau Community Center is available for rent and can hold up to 350 people with in-house catering and banquet facilities for any event. It is also home to the Juneau Recreational Department. Dodge County has many interesting places to visit. The Wild Goose Bike Trail begins in Juneau on East Center Street and the world known Horicon Marsh is only miles away from the city limits. Our city also has three parks, a campground, many historical homes, and growing manufacturing. This booklet is produced & distributed by the Juneau Chamber of Commerce. The church was originally built in 1865, given an addition in 1910 and then utilized as the Juneau Library until 1972. Open May-October on the first &

Community Activities Cable Channel 991 A listing of community activities, meetings and information. Juneau City Wide Rummage A citywide rummage sale is held on the second Saturday in August each year. Farmer’s Market Fresh produce, homemade items and crafts are sold. The market is held in the parking lot of 100 N. Western Street (Juneau Piggly Wiggly). Open May-October, Fridays 7am to 12 noon. There is no fee charged for vendors. Community Activities *The Parade of Trees Juneau Public Library, 250 N. Fairfield Avenue, Juneau. Walk through a wonderland of Christmas during this annual event, with trees decorated by local businesses, organizations and clubs. The kick-off begins in December and runs through the first of January. No admission fee. *Hickey Park Ridge Road and *Juneau City Park Lincoln Drive & Fair Street Juneau Juneau City Park serves as the gateway to the Wild Goose State Trail. The park, near the southern end of the trail, offers cyclists and hikers an ideal place to begin or end a trip. It includes softball diamonds, picnic areas and a playground. *Wild Goose Park N. Hyland Street, Juneau This park is adjacent to the Wild Goose State Trail. Picnic facilities, shelters, restrooms, play areas, skating rink and primitive campsites with shower facilities are available. Inquire at the Juneau City Hall 920-386-4800.
*Wild Goose State Trail 127 E. Oak Street, Juneau Wild Goose State Trail is a 34-mile, multi-use recreation trail that follows an abandoned railroad bed between Fond du Lac and Clyman Junction. The surfaced trail travels by farm fields, wood lots, prairies, historic rural communities and the Horicon Marsh. The trail is open in Dodge and Fond du Lac county. A seperate bridle trail is in Dodge County between Pautsch Road and Highway 60. Trail maps are offered through the Dodge County Planning and Development Deptartment. *Please note that all Juneau Chamber business members are listed in this directory.
