PEARLS OF COMFORT

'The kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it' (Matthew 13:45-46; NKJV).

God, my Father,

You know the challenges I’m facing these days, and that I’m here in a place I’d hoped never to be.

I pray that You will make Yourself real to me right here and now in this time of illness. Let me feel You near. Assure me of Your love and compassion. Let me find rest and comfort in Your loving care.

Thank You for being such an up close and personal God—and for taking the time to love and attend to me.

In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
