SS 2021 Drawing 3D CAD 1 and 2 KOKO - MOVE!
What is KOKO? KOKO is a minimal longboard characterized by a deck made of 7 different layers, a grip pattern on the surface and a light on the back. Through some improvements the board improves the user experience, but at the same time mantains the aesthetic of a classical board without losing its appeal. The name KOKO comes from its shape and pattern that recall the shape and the skin of a crocodile. The analogy with an animal was chosen in order to underline how KOKO respects the environment and the nature, using natural materials and eletric power.

SS 2021 Drawing 3D CAD 1 and 2 Characteristics The voronoi pattern on the top veneer layer creates a grip and replaces the sand paper.
Semi-rigid plastic covers the frame of the deck repairing the board from bumps.
Led light on the back of the board that provides a safer experience on the longboard.
When not needed the light can be turned off. There is on the left side an on/ off button. The little light on the right indicate how much battery is left.
This element avoids the light to touch the ground and protects the box from bumps when the board is pushed down.
When the top is inserted it is completely waterproof.

The light can be recharged only by using a normal phone charger without buying any batteries, safer and ecological!

7 layers of wood and fiberglass
Veneer: Cosmetic outer wood layers, it determines the coulour of the deck.
Poplar: The second layer of the board is made of poplar, a type of wood which is really resistant and for this reason is used for the external layers.
Maple: Maple wood is particulary strong and flexible at the same time.
Fiberglass: Multiple axle fibers are used to deliver strength in all directions of the deck, to hold shape and give a flex and light weight strength.
Bamboo Core: Bamboo is the layer in the middle of the board because of its extremely high tensile strength, flexibility, sustainability and durability.
