See what is going on! Capacitive sensor for more transparency

A

t last it is possible to integrate process values into the IT structure via an intelligent sensor interface and to achieve easier indication, analysis and evaluation. The new KG5065 capacitive sensors allow the application to become transparent, while the process value allows effective processing. At present, this additional advantage is unique and offers solutions, even for difficult applications. The capacitive sensors detect bulk materials or liquids through non-metallic vessel walls. Typical applications for product detection can be found in the semiconductor, paper and wood industries.

The parameters can be set either via the buttons on the sensor or via the IO-Link interface. This can be done using the USB interface E30396 or the E30398 memory plug. The LINERECORDER SENSOR software also simplifies the monitoring of different types of sensors.KG5065 allows easy parameter setting via IO-Link before installation of the sensor and versatile data processing via IO-Link. No additional cabling is necessary and the user has clear visible indication of the switching status. The sensor is easily installed with mounting adapters and cable ties. info.za@ifm.com

Globe valve with membrane actuator adept at control tasks

T

he universally compatible GEMÜ 536 globe valve has a robust design and is reliable in operation. This valve was developed with a long service life and low maintenance requirements in mind. The GEMÜ 536 pneumatically operated 2/2way globe valve has a low maintenance membrane actuator which can be controlled by inert gaseous media. The valve plug is fixed to the spindle in such a way as to allow flexing during closure in order to ensure tight shut off. Steel and PTFE as well as a fibre

glass-reinforced PTFE version are available as seats. The valve spindle is sealed by a self-adjusting gland packing. This provides a lowmaintenance and reliable valve spindle seal even after an extended period of operation. The wiper ring which has also been introduced additionally protects the gland packing from contamination and damage.The customer has a choice between cast stainless steel 1.4408 or SG iron GGG40.3 (available from the beginning of 2015) for the material of the valve body.

A flange in accordance with EN 1092 or ANSI cl. 125/150 RF is available for the piping connection. A good flow rate and controllability is achieved due to the globe valve design. Standard regulating cages are used in the control valve design. Thanks to the high-quality design, GEMÜ 536 is also suitable for high operating temperatures and pressures.
