Wellcome to 2015 European Golf Busines Conference 25-27 November, 2015 Amsterdam Providing Inspiration, Ideas and Direction to the European Golf Industry Since 2006 The EGCOA’S VISION 2020 project launched at last years conference has highlighted the need for change, but without action vision is simply a day dream. Looking back at a year on tour lets discover how golf facilities engaged in the VISION 2020 project with new approaches to our fast changing market. This year we invite the most visionary golf course owners, managers and industry professionals to share their game changing approaches.

The Finnish Golf Course Owners Association is one of the members of the EGCOA which is a not-for-profit trade association, owned and governed by its membership. Through the national owners association, like FGCOA, it providing business support to European golf course operators and related stakeholders, presenting one united voice within the golf course industry.

The European Golf Business Conference now celebrating its 10th year, has fast become a major event for golfing industry players of all levels, and is a once a year opportunity to get up to speed with the latest trends and developments in the European and worldwide golf arena. The conference provides delegates with a unique opportunity to network in a like-minded international environment and to discuss current issues, developments and opportunities with decision makers from all levels of the golf industry.

The EGCOA protects and nurtures the interests of owners and operators throughout Europe, from 9-hole facilities to the owners of multiple golf courses. With the growing role of the European Union (EU) and the shift of decision making from a national to a European level, the role of the EGCOA as Europe’s leading authority on the business of golf course ownership is increasing rapidly.

Labs, a research and consultancy firm in the field of Neuromarketing, that uses insights and techniques adopted from neuroscience on marketing & communication challenges. Besides being an entrepreneur, Roeland is core lecturer of the 4-day program on Neuromarketing at the European Institute for Brand management (EURIB) and he lectures on persuasion and influence at the Institute for sales & Account Management at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Roeland knows how to bridge the gap between scientific insights and day-to-day sales & marketing practices. In his speeches passion, humor and interaction play central roles. Eric Toren, European hotelier of the year 2014 and owner of the Toren Hotel and Hotel Sebastian’s in Amsterdam, worked his way up in the hotel business since he was a child helping his family with their hotel. Eric’s strong command of the hotel industry and the teams he managed was evident and at the age of 21 he earned the position of hotel general manager for a 3 star property in Amsterdam.

For over 12 years Daan Noordeloos has been helping organizations to become more customer oriented. At Transavia he’s responsible for developing and implementing the customer strategy which revolves around passenger experience. He’s passionate about experience design and finds himself working on the intersection of applied science and innovation and change management.

Jay was also with the NGCOA for ten years early in his career, having served the association in several roles. Gregg Patterson became the General Manager of The Beach Club in 1982. In addition to his ongoing responsibilities at The Beach Club, Gregg is a Senior Associate with Kapoor and Kapoor Hospitality Consultants, where he teaches certification courses in leadership and marketing for the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA), an organization consisting of owners/franchisees of limited service hotels in the U.S. under such brands as Clarion, Comfort Inn, Holiday Inn, Best Western and others.
