Quick Case Studies
Problem: A client needed to move an LTL load of eight pallets weighing 15,000 pounds. Since most LTL shipments usually weigh between 5,000 and 10,000 pounds, rates they were quoted were stretching them into the red. Solution: R2 was able to overcome this issue due to our mode neutrality. Consulting with the carrier, we were able to advise them that adding to the product they had and making it a Full Truckload shipment would be a cost effective alternative. Result: -The clientâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s cost was 20% less. -Transit time was reduced by a day. -The client sold more product and brought in a greater return.
Problem: A customer had product in Brownsville, Texas that needed to be shipped to a plant in Tampa Bay, Florida. Product they had in Tampa Bay also needed to be shipped to Brownsville. An asset based carrier quoted a rate of $5,196.32 for a round trip to move both loads. Solution: R2 was able to provide a better option that the asset carrier was not able to. Accessing our network of carriers we were able to separate the loads and quoted the customer for 2 shipments instead of a round trip. Result: -The client found a savings when the cost was cut by $1,123.32. -Transit time was reduced by 2 days and the production line was able to keep running.
