In the drawer of the former security desk in the CBHR lobby, you will find folders with coloring sheets and Sudoku sheets, along with one-time use pencils and individual boxes of crayons These can be accessed for patients or other visitors waiting in the lobby who may need a quiet activity to help them pass the time Please note that both crayons and pencils are one time use. Patients can either keep these or throw them away when done using them, but they do not need to be returned to us and cannot be given to another patient

If the coloring sheets or Sudoku sheets needs to be restocked, you can access them in the Peer Support folder on the Shared drive, in a sub folder called “Activity Sheets ” (link below) Please print and photocopy more as needed If you find other activity sheets (i e word searches, crosswords, etc ) that patients request, you can add to this folder, please just ensure there are no copyright restrictions on the document

If we run out of boxes of crayons, we have MANY more boxes in one of the bottom drawers in our staff resource space, where Peer Support sits If we run out of pencils, please notify a manager so they can order more

We are adding these options for our patients because received feedback from our patient experience workgroup regarding the need for patients at CBHR to have a quiet activity to pass the time while waiting to see their provider, particularly our PEC overflow and walk-in patients, who may have longer wait times We also have a child and adolescent clinic on Tuesdays, so this could be beneficial for those patients or other children who attend appointments with their parent/guardian If you would like to have crayons and pencils for your BH clinics please contact Julie Ennis to coordinate
