Join in Singing!

The Chancel Choir will present a cantata with orchestra during worship on Palm Sunday, March 24th. You are invited to join the choir on a short-term basis for the cantata. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evening at 6:30 beginning January 31st. Please contact Jeffrey (music@deserthills.org) if you are interested or have questions; or just stop by on Wednesday!

Thanking the Congregation for their support with the Christmas Toy Drive for the Carefree fire station! The toys were given to Black Mountain Elementary School in support of 19 families, all toy requests were met! Annual Visit to Leupp April 27th and 28th Save the date! Thank you from Pop Up Pantry 2023 was our first full year of making “compassion packs” for the Foothills Food Bank. We were able to provide 925 bags for our neighbors in need.

I want to thank all of the volunteers who help set up and pack the bags every month. Special thanks to our congregation, who contribute supplies and monetary donations throughout the year. Because of your generosity, we anticipate packing 100 bags a month this year. Thanks to all of you for making Pop Up Pantry successful.

March is National Cognitive Health Month!

Your Brain contains billions of neurons, and they communicate to each other via synapse. Your neuromuscular connection is how your motor neurons send messages to your muscles.

According to the National Institute on Aging, there are steps you can take to help improve your cognitive health such as:

-Physical fitness 5 to 7 days per week

-Reducing stress

-Eating healthy meals

-Socializing

-Exercises to help improve your memory

During the month of March, visit the Fitness at the Rocks Savvy Steppers Fitness Circuit classes, to learn more about how your brain functions and how you can exercise your brain daily to help strengthen your cognitive skills.

These faith based fitness classes are designed to help sharpen your mind, strengthen your body and uplift your spirit! The classes are fun and interactive, created to help improve your overall well-being. Modifications will be provided for all fitness levels.

rts at the Rocks is a series of free performing rts events offered for the community by the Desert Hills Presbyterian Church Music and ts Ministry. Our mission is to work with highuality, professional artists and musicians to provide the DHPC congregation and the community at large with experiences they ght not otherwise have.
