This small volume (2nd edition 2016) contains a selection of images from 'unmonumental', a project by New York artist Joy Garnett, with an essay by Tom McGlynn. 'unmonumental' is an ongoing social media performance that generates and instantly shares photographs of ephemeral artifacts in the New York City streets. Started in 2008 and comprising over 800 photographs, 'unmonumental' has grown into a project of monumental proportions.
