These 107 shimmering white stones in the top of the ring represent the total number of points that the team scored in the CFP semifinal and championship combined.

4 TITLES

Two white stones rest in the base of each gold-tone trophy; each individual stone represents one of the team’s four national titles.

2 CFP TROPHIES

These coveted trophies are shown with their backs to each other — a subtle nod to the team’s back-to-back CFP Championships.

15 DAWG COLLAR SPIKES

The team’s NATIONAL CHAMPIONS title sits within a spiked, gold-tone dog collar. There are 15 spikes in total, to celebrate the Bulldogs’ incredible 15–0 season.

DNA TRAITS

Georgia Football’s four DNA traits — Toughness, Connection, Resiliency and Composure — are also stamped inside the ring.

This word stands alone on the outer band, as a nod to Coach Smart’s message to the team, “Be the hunter, not the hunted.”

Championship rings are steeped in tradition. Many people credit Green Bay Packers coach Vince Lombardi with starting the tradition when his football team won Super Bowl I in 1961. That first championship ring was produced by Jostens and featured a single 0.5 carat diamond. The designs have become bigger, increasingly elaborate and much more expensive over time.

Championship rings are traditionally worn on the recipient’s right hand ring finger. If a player has more than one championship ring, they can decide which finger to wear the newest ring on. The logo should face away from the wearer, so that people can easily identify what team they are a part of and admire the ring.
