Josh Pearl is the Founder and CIO of Hickory Lane Capital where he focuses on equity investments and special situations utilizing a fundamentals-based approach. Prior to founding Hickory Lane, he served as a Partner at Brahman Capital and spent nearly a decade as an investment banker at UBS Investment Bank, Moelis & Company, and Deutsche Bank. Josh and his co-author identified a void in contemporary financed literature regarding practical guides on investment banking and investing. As a result, they wrote several books and courses, including The Little Book of Investing Like the Pros; Investment Banking: Valuation, LBOs, M&A, and IPOs; Investment Banking Workbook; Investment Banking Focus Notes; and The Wiley Efficient Learning Investment Banking Prep Course. He is also a frequent speaker and guest lecturer at investment conferences and universities.
