They look in many different ways. We can turn nouns and verbs into adjectives adding to them special endings. Let’s practice‌

Adjective position in a sentence a) Before a noun. (attributive) Ex: I live in a beautiful house. b) As part of the predicate following a linking verb.(predicative) Ex: My house is beautiful.
There are single adjectives like: nice – intelligent – huge – important There are multiword adjectives like: good-looking / self-confident / twoyear-old / well-bred / well-intentioned
Gradability in adjectives We can grade adjectives using words like… a bit cold – somewhat cold – quite cold – very cold – extremelly cold – awfully cold
