Before that, he completed his two year residency (July 99-June 01) and one year internship (July 98-June 99) in Internal Medicine from the same hospital. Jose did his Bachelors in Medicine and Bachelors in Surgery (MBBS) from J.J.M. Medical College, Karnataka, India.

Dr. Jose Poulose got his professional start in 1993 as a Medical House Officer for the Emergency Medicine department at Christian Medical College and Hospital, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. He worked there for around two years.

Dr. Jose Poulose Has Received Many Honors and Awards In 2004, Dr. Jose travelled to Tanzania, East Africa as a part of a Church Missions team. When he saw the poor state of healthcare in the region, he decided to raise $10, 000 with the help of his friends for completing a stalled clinic project at Morogoro.
