We are the kitchen equipment experts

Unlike many manufacturers, we are specialists. We focus solely on making the best cooking and refrigeration appliances possible. We have no distractions, and we make no compromises. We have two brands, but only one driving passion: to build outstanding cooking and cooling equipment that looks great and delivers the professional performance that instills real cooling confidence. Sub-Zero has been pioneering the best in refrigeration for over 60 years and Wolf has been building cooking equipment to satisfy the most demanding professional chefs and domestic cooks for more than 70 years. That experience shows. We take pride in the fact that Sub-Zero & Wolf are regularly chosen for the most prestigious international architectural projects worldwide; such as the Burj Khalif in Dubai, Hesperia Tower in Barcelona, Pan Peninsula in London, and both the Trump and Bloomberg Towers in New York. Whatever vision you have for the kitchen in your home, Sub-Zero & Wolf will fit in beautifully.

Sub-Zero Storage Collection

The Sub-Zero Wine Storage collection is versatile and stylish enough to look at home in any kitchen, whether contemporary or traditional. Because we’ve been doing this longer than anyone else, we know more than anyone else; and that shows in the breadth and depth of our range. We have styles and configurations to appeal to every taste and to suit any look with a choice of sizes to fit every kitchen, bar, pool area or media centre.

There are three available styles: the Built-in line for the classic Sub-Zero look with its sleek lines and iconic design touches; the Undercounter line, small enough to fit into the cosiest of corners but still large enough to house an impressive 46 bottles; and the Integrated line, designed to disappear into the cabinetry so that nothing gets in the way of your creative vision. Each has its own distinct look but all have the same obsessive attention to detail and build quality that makes Sub-Zero Wine Storage a class apart.

BUILT-IN (ICBWS30)

INTEGRATED (427G, 427RG)

UNDERCOUNTER (424G, 424FSG)

This option matches the Built-in range of refrigeration and offers the classic Sub-Zero look. Designed for those who want their wine storage built into cabinetry but still want to see the product’s handsome lines, sleek hinges and stylish sheen of heavyguage stainless steel. Alternatively, with the overlay design and flush inset application, you can customise the built-in units with your choice of finish or with Sub-Zero classic stainless steel panels, either to match or act as a counterpoint to surrounding cabinetry. This model can also be given a freestanding look with the addition of Sub-Zero stainless steel side and top panels.

This option matches the Integrated range of Sub-Zero refrigeration and allows the units to disappear within the surrounding cabinetry with no visible hinges or grilles. These models are designed to blend seamlessly into your environment and are flexible enough to be placed wherever you need wine storage such as the dining room, study, den or bedroom, as well of course as the kitchen. Optional Sub-Zero stainless steel front panels are available to create a contrast to the cabinetry of the room.

Undercounter options provide compact wine storage at the same level of quality and design as the larger units. Choose from a built-in undercounter unit to complete a kitchen island, bar, or pool area. Alternately, choose a fully clad stainless steel, freestanding undercounter unit; place in position or move easily to another area, to beautifully preserve your wine collection, wherever you choose to locate it.

Sub-Zero Wine preservation

Great wine needs be nurtured and cared for, to enjoy it at its best. Sub-Zero wine storage units are designed to keep your finest wine in perfect condition by keeping it in perfect conditions. Sub-Zero understands the four enemies of wine – temperature, humidity, light and vibration – better than anyone, and painstakingly creates equipment that protects your wine from each one. Crafted from stainless steel, with UV-resistant glass, cherry wood slats and smoothly gliding shelves, its two independent storage zones always maintain the ideal temperature and humidity. After all, when it comes to wine, it’s what’s on the inside that counts.

When you buy the best, you want it to stay the best

It’s often said that there is no such thing as a great wine, only great bottles of wine. That’s because quality varies so much from one bottle to another, largely as a result of varying storage conditions. Sub-Zero carefully designs its wine preservation units so that you’re never disappointed. Much more than mere coolers, they provide the perfect storage conditions, protecting against the adverse heat, humidity, light and vibration that can damage your wine. Two independent storage zones, each sealed and digitally controlled, allow you to simultaneously maintain perfect cellar and serving conditions in the same unit. Microprocessor control maintains even temperatures to within one degree of your presets. The ultraviolet glass panel filters out the harmful rays that can cause premature aging. The quiet compressor lets wines rest undisturbed, without the vibration that can harm delicate wines. Shelves glide out smoothly, providing access without agitation and you even have the ability to link your wine collection to a home control system. The result? Perfect conditions, and perfect wine.

11

The Four Enemies of Wine There are four “Enemies” of Wine, which even the most casual wine drinker should be aware of when deciding how to store their wine for aging, or just for later enjoyment. These ‘Enemies’ are, in order of the damage they can do, temperature, light, humidity, and vibration.

Temperature has the biggest potential impact on wine storage and ideally, wine of any type, should be stored at around 12 degrees Celcius. The temperature must be stable throughout each day, 365 days year. As wine ages, complex chemical changes occur. As with many chemical reactions, heat accelerates the rates of these reactions and changes the rate at which wine matures. This leads to wine peaking in quality earlier than expected, and declining thereafter, faster as well. Additionally, as the temperature of the bottle (and wine) rises and falls, the cork expands and contracts slightly, loosening over time. The most troublesome fluctuations are those that occur daily – the more often the cork expands and contracts, the more it loosens, allowing wine to leak out and air to leak in, resulting in oxidation and the unpleasant tastes and aromas that oxidation causes. Sub-Zero wine storage units maintain up to two different pre-set temperature zones, within one degree; providing you with optimum temperature control for reds and whites, or long and short term storage.

Light exposure is the second Enemy of Wine. Ultraviolet light breaks down compounds in the wine, producing undesirable tastes and odours. Sub-Zero’s glass door wine storage units employ double glazed, argon gas filled panes with a bronze tint, to protect your wine from any harmful UV rays.

12

Sub-Zero Wine Preservation is specifically designed to combat the ‘Four Enemies of Wine’, so you can just relax and enjoy your collection, whenever you and your friends choose to.

Humidity levels that are too low can cause the cork to dry out, allowing wine to leak out and air to get in; leading to oxidation of the wine. Humidity levels that are too high, can allow mould to grow on the cork and label or even cause the labels to completely disintegrate. SubZero wine storage units are maintained at the optimum humidity levels for storing and aging wines, between 55-85%; leaving you to worry only about enjoying your perfectly preserved collection.

Vibration is the fourth Enemy of Wine, causing sediment from the bottom of the bottle to circulate; reacting with the wine to product off-flavours. Sub-Zero wine storage units house the compressor in an anti-vibration kit to avoid any unwanted vibration; plus the rustproof shelving, supported by a roller-glide ball bearing mechanism, allows you to view and access your wines without any unecessary disturbance.

13

14

As always, Sub-Zero uses the highest quality materials. Witness the cherrywood faced shelving that provides a pleasing frame for your wine, and the roller glide system prevents any sediment being unsettled. The UV glass protects your wine from the rays that can cause premature aging.

15

16

When wine is your pride and joy, why hide it away in a damp and dusty cellar? As you reach for a bottle of crisp, perfectly chilled Sancerre, you can be sure that your precious vintages are maturing quietly in ideal conditions. Which means you’ll never have to descend to a dusty, damp cellar, or serve wine from a bottle with a mouldy label. With two independent storage zones in the same beautifully designed unit, you can simultaneously maintain perfect cellar and serving conditions, so every bottle is ready when you want it, how you want it. And with a wide range of sizes and configurations, you can either keep your collection out of sight, or make it a focal point of your home.

WINE PRESERVATION

Sub-Zero WINE PRESERVATION You’ve tracked down the rare vintage, you’ve ordered a case, now it needs to be properly cared for until you’re ready to enjoy it. the VIP treatment. Rested on rust-proof metal shelves that glide in and out so as not to agitate the wine, reds and whites can be stored in separate temperature zones that suit them best. Think of it as perfect cellarage without the cobwebs.

A 5 year extended Service plan is now available on all Sub-Zero & Wolf appliances.

Here are a few of the benefits that you will notice and that will, we think, make life a little easier for you.

Updates: Provide us with either your landline, mobile or email address and we will keep you informed of the status of your service visit and engineer arrival time.

Satellite Tracked Vehicles: Our fleet of service vehicles are fully satellite tracked, so we can instantly pinpoint the location of your dedicated engineer, providing you with a faster response time.

This allows them to access parts inventory, both on their vans and in our main stock and also allows them to gain access to the latest manuals and technical documentation, which all helps to increase first time fix rate.

Maintenance Contracts: A high number of service calls are caused by lack of maintenance, such as failing to

vacuum the condensor every 3-6 months as recommended by the manufacturer and detailed in Sub-Zero’s Use & Care guides. We know this type of household chore may not be top of your list of things to do, so we now offer a fully automated maintenance contract which will automatically let you know when it’s time for us to visit; thereby keeping your appliances running smoothly.
