(See FBLA Dress Code dated January 2009.) 2. Students must be on time for all competitive events. Students arriving late may not be permitted to participate in the competitive events. Arrive at the event room 15 minutes before the scheduled time. 3. Student participants must check with the event proctors to make sure that their names and schools are correct on the rosters. 4. For events with objective tests: • • • •

Students should write name, school, and grade level on their Scantron answer sheet. Tie scores will be broken by comparing the performance of the affected members on the last ten questions of the exam. Tests may not be removed from the competitive events rooms. No one will be permitted in the testing rooms except the student participants and the event proctors/judges.

5. For objective tests, use No. 2 pencils only to blacken the answers on the Scantron sheets. Blacken the entire box for each answer. 6. Interview events are closed to spectators. However, spectators are permitted in Public Speaking, Impromptu Speaking, Entrepreneurship, Parliamentary Procedure, Global Business and Partnership with Business Project. 7. All students in Impromptu Speaking, Entrepreneurship, Business Ethics, Emerging Business, Global Business, and Parliamentary Procedure MUST report at the beginning times for these events and remain in holding rooms until their assigned times to compete. There will be groups of student participants and panels of judges for the preliminary rounds for Public Speaking and Impromptu Speaking. When there are three groups, three finalists from each group will be selected. When there are two groups, four finalists from each group will be selected. Finalists will speak to new panels of judges. Only the advisers of the winners will be informed and they in turn will inform their students.

I believe the future depends on mutual understanding and cooperation among business, industry, labor, religion, family and educational institutions, as well as people around the world. I agree to do my utmost to bring about understanding and cooperation among all of these groups.
