Eid mubarak, Eid Mubarak, all my Walī, The Sawm of Ramadan has just ceased, To Muhammad, the pure loyalty offered by all, The very first revelation of the scripture.

We fasted in purity to respect those pillars, Until the sunset, to invite awaited Shawwal, In merriment, with Iftar for joyful Eid al-Fitr Being profound through chanting, in spirit.

It's solely the first day of Shawwal we feast, To mark the closing day of twenty-nine days That we spent dawn-to-sunset fasting, And say, "Happy Holiday," to all our comrades.

Let us in pride, meet all those in Allah, And chant "Eid Mubarak" on this day, To share our blessings through celebration United to glorify Muhammad and Heaven. Eid mubarak, Eid mubarak all my Walī, Eid mubarak, Eid mubarak all friends of God.
