John Fudenberg

John Fudenberg has enjoyed a long and successful career in law enforcement and public service in Clark County, Nevada. He started out as a corrections officer with the Las Vegas Department of Detention and Enforcement in 1991 and moved through various positions as the years went on. Most notably, he took on the role of County Coroner in 2015, a capacity in which he served for the next five years. John dealt with various tragedies during his tenure, including the infamous mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in October of 2017. As the public face of the local county office, John handled most of the media events and helped guide the public response to this tragedy. In the wake of the shooting, John Fudenberg has been actively pushing education and preparedness in other counties and districts, encouraging public officials to have plans in place should they face similar situations. While he retired from his job as county coroner, John is currently the Executive Director of the International Association of Coroners and Medical Examiners, allowing him to further the reach of his educational programs.
