Academics Instruction and guidance at EF Academy New York is highly personal. Students follow the US High School Diploma from Grade 9, which prepares them for the opportunity to enroll in the full IB Diploma Programme and take individual IB Courses in Grade 11. All students who successfully complete the IB Diploma at EF Academy New York are also awarded a nationally recognized New York State High School Diploma.

Support and Guidance Each student at EF Academy New York is assigned a Pathway Manager who helps them select the right courses, monitors their academic progress and supports their social and emotional wellbeing. In addition to receiving one-on-one support from teachers, students also work together with university advisors who help them research and apply to the universities that best suit their goals and interests. University Placements EF Academy New York graduates have been accepted to universities such as Harvard University, Yale University, the University of Oxford, schools in the University of California network and other international universities ranked highly for fields including business, medicine and engineering among others. Some of our artistically talented students have been accepted to Rhode Island School of Design and Parsons School of Design. Student Life With over 120 co-curricular clubs and activities on offer, students are provided with a wealth of special-interest clubs, varsity sports and community service opportunities to complete their Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS) program. Our school’s activities coordinators also arrange teacher-led excursions so students can extend their learning beyond the classroom and take advantage of the impressive museums, historical sights and other advantages that being a student in New York has to offer.
