The menu’s anchor is modern California cuisine that’s as fresh and unfussy as a sail through Newport Harbor, but it also draws inspiration from various corners of the globe – a spark that Accardi says could ignite at any time. “I don’t want to box us into a cuisine because I think it will be more spontaneous,” he says. “You might find an incredible pasta on the menu or a beautiful dish with Asian flavors on the menu.” Accompanying this eclectic cuisine is a solid wine list highlighting wineries such as the exquisite Bello Family Vineyards in Napa’s worldclass Rutherford Valley region. Ultimately, the goal behind Mr. G’s bistro is to connect the space, its cuisine, and its location with an atmospheric through-line that transcends the realm of sumptuous food and wine. “Mr G.’s is a place with not only delicious food but one that our guests can call their second home,” Accardi says. “I want everyone to feel like they’re visiting a friend’s house.”
