SPRING CONCERT RECAP lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD. (NIV)

It has been almost 90 years since the Flint Citadel Band played at historic St. Paul's Episcopal church in downtown Flint. But on Sunday, May 15, that hiatus was broken when the Band played it's Annual Spring Concert in St. Paul's ornate sanctuary as the saints looked down from their stained glass perches.

The Flint Citadel Band has been sharing its ministry of sacred music for over 100 years; ever since William Beacraft, a foreman at the fledgling Buick Motor company, began to bring Salvationists to Flint for employment from Canada and England. Ever since that time Flint has had one of the Army's premiere brass bands. Present for this year’s Spring Concert were Central Territory Commanders, Commissioners Paul & Carol Seiler, Retiring Divisional Commanders, Lt. Colonels Norman & Diane Marshall, and a good size crowd. Bandmaster Matthew Rowland and Deputy Bandmaster Andrew Bell presented a diverse program
