Senior Vice President for Marketing and Business Development, Alabama Power John O. Hudson III is the senior vice president of Marketing and Business Development at Alabama Power Company. Prior to this role, he served as the chief executive of the Alabama Power Foundation, one of the largest corporate philanthropic organizations in Alabama and as vice president of Public Relations and Charitable Giving at Alabama Power Company. In addition, he served as executive director of the Alabama Business Charitable Trust. Before joining Alabama Power, Hudson served as senior vice president for Corporate Diversity and Public Affairs at Regions Financial Corporation and currently serves as chairman of the organization’s Diversity Advisory Council. Prior to joining Regions, Hudson practiced law and was president and chairman of The Hudson Group. Before practicing law and establishing The Hudson Group, he served as assistant to the president and CEO and as area manager of the Birmingham Division, the company’s largest customer service and operations center at Alabama Power Company. Hudson received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Alabama A&M University, is a cum laude graduate of Miles College School of Law, and completed the Executive Accounting and Finance Program at Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Laney joined Innovation Depot in 2005 and served in a number of roles before becoming president and CEO. He is also at the heart of the innovation and business communities in the Magic City. Fred McCallum President, AT&T Alabama
A native of Florence, Alabama, McCallum was appointed president of AT&T Alabama in 2008 after serving the company in a variety of executive positions in Birmingham and Atlanta since he joined South Central Bell in 1987. McCallum sits the boards of numerous organizations, including the Business Council of Alabama and the Birmingham Business Alliance. Recognized for community service, McCallum received the A.G. Gaston Award in 2014 and the Building a Better Alabama award from the Business Council of Alabama in 2015. ALMA MATER Auburn University (B.S.); University of Alabama (J.D.) James McManus
Chairman, CEO, and President, Energen Corporation An Energen veteran, McManus has worked at the company since 1986 in a variety of executive positions, becoming CEO in 2007 and chairman in 2008, and has been a key figure as Energen— an energy exploration and production company— continues to grow its extensive assets in oil and natural gas. As president and COO of Energen Resources beginning in 1997, he led the growth of the company over the next decade to become one of the top independent oil and gas producers in the United States. A Certified Public Accountant, McManus earned a B.S. in accounting at The University of Alabama. He serves on numerous boards, including the Alys Stephens Center and the UAB Leadership Council.
